Creamy one-pot tomato orzo with goat cheese
This one-pan dish with goat cheese and tomato orzo is super creamy and mega delicious. You make everything in one pan. That means not only little washing up, but also little thinking after a busy day. Win-win!

Ingredients

250 g | cherry tomatoes |
1 tbsp | olive oil |
1 tsp. | fennel seeds |
400 g | diced tomatoes with Italian herbs (can or pack) |
300 g | orzo (pasta) |
500 ml | vegetable stock from tablet |
125 g | Bettine naturel fresh goat's cheese |
fresh basil (plant) |
Preparation

- Chop the onion. Chop the red pepper. Halve the cherry tomatoes.
- Heat the oil in the pan and fry the onion for 2 min over medium-high heat. Add the red pepper and fennel seeds and fry for 1 min.
- Add the cherry tomatoes and fry for 2 min.
- Add the diced tomatoes, orzo and stock, stir well. Bring to the boil again. Cook for 10 min, or until the pasta is tender.
- Finely chop half the basil. Crumble the goat cheese. Stir the finely chopped basil and half the goat cheese into the orzo.
- Serve the pasta in a deep plate. Garnish with the rest of the goat cheese and basil leaves. Season generously with freshly ground pepper.
